When the R-40M hit the R-16 in the Roosevelt Av wreck, the 40 with its fiberglass bonnet made out better than the R-16 that it hit.

The problem with fiberglass though is that when it gets hit, it shatters and splinters and does a LOT of damage. Early Korvette owners found that out the hard way. :(

you wanna know what they would have looked like?

Think PATH PA1 cars with a slash of R44 tossed in along the walls.

pops loved trains..he broke in during the 50's on what is the N today...even met my mom on the subway! He had all kinds of stuff, from old routes to pics to inhouse stuff. most of his things i still have but some were tossed away by my sisters when he passed away.
he KNEW the front office though BUFFS were weirdos..so he kept it to himself..but shared his hobby and passion for trains with me.

how do you figure i got into being a buff myself?
its all his fault!LOL!

Ewwww! :)

... and there ya go. Back in our day though, you didn't want to let ANYONE know you liked trains. They'd make you do another round trip for free. Heh.
