Heh. Yeah, back in "our" time, you'd best not LET anybody know you loved trains ... I got into it because I did, told a couple of folks who were obvious that I worked with, and got cautioned out the ass to NEVER let anyone know. "Buffs" were the plague even back then. :)

But yeah, I heard that too back in 1970, along with 76th Street. I'd LOVE to see what they actually had in mind because despite the shovel nose, the 40's were kind cute. DANGEROUS, but cute. I'm sure there was more to what the original design was and sure would love to see it.
