One couldn't be lunch. One has to be so tiny to ride on your trains that one would barely be a snack. ROAR.

In the coupled photo neither the BP hose nor what could be a long MR hose are in use on the diesel. But did more work time pass before they took off? The engineer may have had one of these coupled up. MR alone would give breakaway protection and MNR had the M2’s set up so that they could be controlled from BP air alone when being towed.

I just read an article, I believe it was in Trains, that they were rewriting the inspection rules on steam locomotives to reflect their current usage, rather than continuing to use rules created when steam power was dominant.

if a railway has no rail connections with other carriers, and crosses no public roads at grade, it is considered "insular", and not subject to most FRA regulations. However, if the Arlington Branch is ever reactivated and a freight connection is made, it's a whole new can of worms (clams?).

Yes, that part was just that boiler tube life would be measured as 60 individual months with service rather than presuming that the passage of 5 years time was all in continuous service. In the old days the locomotives worked year round and 5 sequential years was a simple enough wear gauge. In the museums however use during 2 or 3 months each year will not wear it out in 5 years hence the change to including the layups more closely in the measure. The jurisdiction is still staying with the FRA however.

No again it was a mistake the 4 engines weren't supposed to be in that scheme. Not sure what scheme they wanted though but the scheme they have was not meant for them.

I think what is far more substantial proof that SIR is not under FRA regulations is the fact that Dutchrailnut said it is under FRA regulations.

But Arnine said that Dutchrailnut is reliable and a good source of information and in his experience usually correct. For the record I have not found all that to be true.

Hard to believe since he posts "not good" information so often. Maybe you only believe what you want to believe?

The first three sites are outdated link to the Wikipedia article. Which tend to be making up shit without real references.

But this link....

Mr Clinton sorry for your obsession, If you don't like my answers, just skip over them, no one is forcing you to read them.

Also everything posted on both these forums should be taken with a grain of salt, no answer or statement is 100% correct.
I sure never claim my statements are, I do hower like for others to prove me or others wrong, and not just keep harping on he is wrong he is wrong with no proof.
