Revenue runs probably will not even begin until late in the year at the earliest. There are still lots of testing that has to be done. The clearance testing has already begun, with a pair being hauled up and down with a double-ended engine set, checking overhead clearances and platform (side to side) clearances. They still have more modifications that have to be made, then have to tested and run on their own power both in catenary and third rail territories, tested on the NEC east of New Haven, and more than likely also tested on the Hell Gate Line. Then they have to pass their mileage tests without major breakdowns or failures befreo they are even OK'd for service. It will be quite a while yet before little ol' me gets to pop the doors, greet my passengers, then go about saying "Tickets Please" aboard them. |

I'm glad you noticed.I was NOT talking about Salaam in that post. Also I made a stupid joke in BusChat about the Mack bus in Brooklyn and Salaam called me a bigot FIRST in that thread. But I guess when you have a low self esteem you think everything bad said applies to yourself. This is a result of being on public assistance for many years and not earning a honest living. But I think its deeper than a life of idling away collecting free money from Uncle Sam. I have spoken to people who went to High School with Salaam in Classmates.com and the stories are funny! Apparently Salaam was like the class clown picked on by the smallest of white kids in John Muir high school! Funny stuff! |
