No, I did not know that. I don't keep track of people's employment here.

So I guess he can prove it...in which case I'd like to see the case for the new terminal being operationally deficient.

It'd be nice to see a professional opinion, instead of a foamer's.

The South Ferry loop stations will not be opened under any of the scenarios, for a some simple reasons.

Consider that after 9/11, and the #1 was traveling to/from New Lots Avenue - Brooklyn on a regular basis for several months, the TA did not open the inner loop station. Both the inner and outer loop stations were closed. The only subway stations nearest to the ferry terminal were the N-R-W at Whitehall Street, and the #4 and #5 at Bowling Green. Plenty of us using the westside #1 and #2 lines simply left at the Wall Street stationI for a zig-zag walk to the ferry terminal. It was shear madness to even think about using the Fulton Street complex to transfer between the #1 and #2 then to or from #4 and #5 lines.

There are other reasons.

Correct. The reason the routes were changed was to eliminate the crossing at 96 St. Of course later on when Chrystie opened the initial service pattern had the Ds crossing from the exp to the local and the QJs crossing from the lcl to the exp N/O Brighton Bch. It was changed on the next pick the same time the NX was eliminated.

lol, you clearly just demonstrated that you don't know who the professionals are, so why don't you do less talking and more listening and less labeling? Alex has been posting about the SF issue for years. And all this time you were dismissing him as a foamer. Unbelievable. The arguements for why new SF may have issues have already been well stated many many many times (and dismissed out of hand by the uninformed many many many times).

No, the real question is "have there been any real improvements in any aspect of 1 line service or SF customer experience, and if so, could they not have been solved by a solution that either involved retaining the loop terminal or building a new terminal with a design that doesn't potentially cripple future service increases".

Half a billion dollars on SF, 1.5 billion on the great glass egg. Hmm, two billion dollars they *had* spend on Lower Manhattan. And it'd be two miles from Hannover Square to Grand Street at around 750 million dollars per mile to build the SAS Phase IV under Water Street. For the amount we're spending on two old stations we could have extended the V train from 2nd Ave to Hannover Square and served three new stations. Hell, go with tail tracks arranged as four 600 foot tracks rather than two 1200 foot tracks then we could move the station 500-600 feet south to provide a connection to the eastern end of the Whitehall street mezzanine. Use the leftover money to pay off the folks around Sara Roosevelt Park off, build the shallow Chrystie alternative and enable later service off the Manhattan Bridge to the SAS, or from Hannover Square to points on the 6th and 8th Avenue lines.

And to add to that, people have to walk outside a few feet to get to the ferry terminal than to be right inside the building if coming from the loop.
Why couldn't they just have some sort of enclosure from the southern most exit to the ferry building?

What will replace the (1) between Chambers Street and South Ferry?

The (R) (W) might become popular with Ferry riders temporarily?

Nope. But maybe you are talking about yourself??

And there you go trying to twist things around, yeah, no.

I know what I said, and I know I was talking about you.

So before I sink completely into this little silly game of your's, I'm gonna drop it here.
