You wouldn't need to run at 15 minute headways if they ran to 168th. C's are fumigated, they can do the same to the B. Those 15 minute headways are a bitch for Brighton express riders, they don't need to suffer for a problem all the way in Harlem. |

What space do you have in 174 Yard to lay up those trains? See where im getting at? |

If it goes to the Concourse yard or comes from it, run the trains to BPB. Any train which terminates at 145th and is scheduled to run back to Brooklyn runs to 168th. No yard issues. The terminal can handle the extra trains. Crew facilities are available. |

Posted by EastSideRider on Thu Jan 29 17:29:37 2009, in response to Re: B line go, posted by Osmosis Jones on Thu Jan 29 05:12:44 2009. On Sundays, the last FULL LINE train to Camden (From Trenton), and to Trenton (From Camden), leaves at 8:59 PM, but the last trains running are trains between Tweeter and Route 73/Pennsauken (Last Northbound of these leaves at Midnight, last Southbound leaves 11:26 PM).Saturday, the Last FULL LINE trains (And last train from Trenton) leave the terminals at 11:59 PM. The "Camden-only" trains (These go Northbound only, as the last Southbound ended already) run then, and the last one leaves at 1:15 AM. Weekdays, The last FULL LINE Southbound leaves Trenton at 9 PM, the same for the Last Northbound from Camden (An Express to Walter Rand from Trenton leaves at 9:15, with a local to Burlington South leaving at 9:28). Camden-only shuttles run till the last leaves at 11:50 PM (going Northbound), and 12:10 AM (going Southbound, though the very last Southbound train goes to Walter Rand only though) Clear as mud huh? LOL :-P |

He's clearly not understanding what I'm saying: - Trains coming from Concourse Yard run to 145th with their full crews - Trains headed TO Concourse Yard terminate at 145th, then run lite to BPB - Trains coming from Brighton Beach and which are headed back to Brighton Beach turn at 168th In essence, no turning of trains at BPB. No longer headways necessary. |

Nope, the OP pulled the G.O. advisory from the MTA website. Also, if you can find them, there are some posters about this G.O. in a few stations. However, it only mentions 9:30 AM to 3 PM, not from 7 PM to 11:15 PM. |

I'm just doing a bad job of communicating. So I'll break it down again: - Trains scheduled to begin/end at BPB would continue to do so unchanged - Trains scheduled to begin/end at 145th, either coming FROM or then going TO the Concourse yard would run to BPB - Trains coming from Brooklyn which are scheduled to run back south would run to 168th St There would be no routing to BPB of any train for the sole purpose of turning it around for service back to Brooklyn. 168th is closer, it wouldn't need to run at 15 minute headways. There's no technical reason this cannot be done, any reason must be operational, much like the B/C swap was 11 years ago. |
