Nothing like breaking down at 7th Ave NB and being told that trains were starting to stack up on the bridge to convince 59 to bring you in. We had geese that didn't want to HEAR about an ABD and natch, no cop there. All was made well at 59. :) |

Most of the guys who escaped from the "low iron with a brogue" will tell you - the stretch limo fleet IS nicer even if some of the supervision is the folks YOU guys got rid of. There's something nice about usually NOT catching up with your leader. :) |

If yer doing laundry WILLINGLY right now, then it means that you weren't on "customer splash on the floor" duty last night. I remember pulling holiday overtime duty once on Moo Yeers (back in the old days when every backpack had Champ-ale or better and bar hopping was still the norm up until the event) ... and I also remember hearing people saying hello to their buddy "Hurk" outside my quarter cab door (which was closed fortunately) and deciding that it was probably better to finish my run out the storm door instead of the crew door if ya know whut I meen. (grin)But me? I'm on duty right now - Chinese have their internet back. :( Sorry to hear the Irish railroad has roaches. Hahahahaha. |

We were out in Richmond Hill celebrating with friends. Drove home early that morning via the Lincoln Tunnel. They had just started that Anticipatory Mass thing, so we took advantage and went to church on New Year's Eve. Then we proceeded to watch Notre Dame end Texas' 30-game winning streak in the Cotton Bowl. |

Anybody ever tell you you're a SICK phuck even BOTHERING to remember the day of the week with a particular holiday in a particular year? Heh. ASPERGERS! MOO-wah-ha-ha-ha. :)Did my two runs splits, signed up to do in excess of 30 hours on Teeyay property and the suckers GAVE me the hours! Heh. You story about yer buddy there on the F train notwithstanding ... there is NO insecurity wearing a badge than DOZENS of people doing a Cheech and Chong "cloudburst" on your cab door and watching the puddle GROW under the bottom of the door into YOUR space as you get deeper and deeper into Crooklyn. :( And THEN there were Unca HURK's buddies outside your door and it seemed that when you dropped the sash, it only DREW the aroma up off the floor. Lots of folks who can spot the louvre hole differences between 4146 and 4147 have NO idea of what life is like "flattening the steel" for a living. Some runs are "hotel trains" for the "skels" ... there wass NOTHING quite as disgusting though as running a "revellers go home" train. :( RAWHIDE! :) |

When I was the Wisky I always catch the R Train and say behind with Yellows and Red just like the good old 6 Line. However unlike the # 6 Line my train is just about empty because I let the R do my C/R's work. |
