I happen to like the current idea of Stainless Steel cars. What I would've liked is a little more decor on the sides for the NTTs, a la the Strips on the R110s. I personally believe that the 110s were better looking. |

I feel that the current stainless steel look on the trains is the best for the times. The White and Aqua signified the 1964 World's Fair...why would we bring that back except on heritage/museum cars? Silver and Blue was nothing more than a makeshift paint scheme of the times as was the other schemes, there's nothing really special about it, it kind of reminds me of the bland paint scheme on the buses. And besides....no paint scheme at all is probably the cheapest in the MTA's eyes. If they did instate a paint scheme, I would prefer something new that reflects the system as it stands today. |

I was originally going to go to Polytechnic in Brooklyn before I got accepted to Delaware. That would've been PW->Great Neck->Woodside->Jamaica->FBA(unless I could've gotten a train that makes PW and Woodside). No money for the subway. LIRR would've been expensive enough. |

There's nothing special about it..it's just a bland blue stripe. I wouldn't want to see it on a R62 or R68 or even worse an R142 or R160.. It would look so out of place with the "feel" of the system today, stainless steel is fine for now until they get around to developing a newer scheme. And if the R44s were first delivered around 1971 and you say that the MTA Silver and Blue scheme was intended for the fleet, why are there shots of this MTA Blue and Silver scheme on older trains prior to 1971, before the R44s delivery? |

You just have to act as foolish as you did in this post. What message board do you know of if, when you go on like that, they remain incredibly thick-skinned? I don't know of a single one, apart from a few Usenet newsgroups . . .People who demand vandals' eyes gouged out, however, are prude, stuck-up foamers I wouldn't call them that. There was but one person who said that, but you won't call him to the carpet on it. BTW, the ones you described as "prude, stuck-up foamers" are the ones that, according to you, are 'who think that it looks ugly or that it "distracts from the natural beauty of the subway car" or whatever', not the ones that want to put the eyes out of taggers. You also said they "need to just simply shut your fucking pieholes and look at it as art", which is a load of hooey. Your own words make you into a liar. Personally, I'd put taggers in the stocks for about a week or so. |
