Dammit, what's with the lack of photos of the West Side line and the system overall during the 1980's?Beacue the subway system sucked big time back then. And yes, the R62's were for a short while tagged, but not nearly as bad as all the other equipment. |

The problem is, since the didn't live through that nightmare, they think it's novel. They literally haven't a clue, even if they think they do. It's impossible to explain what the subway was like back then, and I don't just mean the trains themselves. The subway today is like a trip to Disneyland comparing it to 1982. |

Yeah, but then they'd have to be confined to specific train lines. That might work on self-contained lines like the L and 7, but nearly every other subway line inter-lines with other lines from a different trunk. For example, 2 (red) and 5 (green). E (blue) and F (orange). What do you do when cars need to be switched between the train lines. |

So go scribble some grafitti all over your house then. Then you can look at all the grafitti you want. Yeah, it was only the 3rd (7) train I saw.I don't know if it is the same side, but I saw it go by in the other direction a few minutes earlier, so I saw the other side as well, and it was clean, though it may have had some residue on it. |

So if someone were to tag an actual work of art, or an image of say, the Hudson Valley onto a subway car, it wouldn't be nice?Don't bring art into this. The car wraps are bad enough. We don't need any more tagging. Sorry, but you need to realize that some graffiti is actually tasteful. Yeah, it's vandalism in this case, which I'm not supporting by any means, but I atleast have sense enough to recognize the artistic ability of the vandal What artistic ability? If he was interested in art, he would've done it on canvas. Don't hand NIMBYs any ammunition. |

And the (7) line lays up at least five or six trains on the structure each night. Chances are, this particular set was the first south of Flushing - Main Street, or was south of 103 Street - Corona Plaza. Corona Yard is too security tight for vandals to be able to enter the yard and tag the train there. |
