That level of vandalism on rolling stock should not be tolerated. Whoever is responsible for letting it out on the road in that condition should be disciplined. |

It tells the customers that NYCT is getting lax in its effort to keep the fleet clean, which then can make customers wonder whether NYCT is also getting lax in its effort to keep the fleet maintained, which can then make customers become ex-customers. It also tells the graffiti scrawlers that they can get away with graffiti, which can make them (and others who might consider doing more than scrawling graffiti) believe that they can get away with other things, such as other forms of vandalism, thievery, etc.Do some research on the "broken windows" theory of policing for more on this issue. The old spray-paint grafitti is more striking and it recalls a BAD time for this city. Billions were spend over many years to finally get rid of it. We can't slip back into that era. |

Even when you turn it on for the first time, the date is set to something in the past, like 2000.Would it make sense for a person to mess with his camera's date and time settings just for one photograph? Especially with modern cameras, the date and time settings are buried in menus, so it would have taken a few seconds to adjust the date and time like that. I detect a fake, or his camera needs a dose of this. |
