The LL was usually the "Double L" (or lousy local as some liked to call it!), but the GG was alwaways the Gee Gee. AA was Double A, CC was Cee Cee. |

Interesting..we have several odd street names/pronunciations up here:We have the standard Houston/Howston We have a Fulton St We have a Courtland..without the 't' (should THAT be pronounced?) We have a 'Low'..which is not pronounced like the opposite of 'high' - Low as in 'cow' We have both a Prospect Ave and a Prospect St...which, of course, are at opposite ends of town We have two Main Sts - a West and East Main with separate numbering schemes...we also have a North St and South St...even an East Ave...but no West Ave.... and we have what has to be the only 'Groo St' in the country....(pronounced 'grew') |

They were foreign military Generals that assisted us in our Revolutionary War.'Socialist Studies' teaches nothing but revisionist history...the way THEY want children to learn and think. History of our nation for the past 150 years is very inportant to be taught and learned......not to be forgotten in REVISIONEST ADJUSTMENTS. I think our TrainDude, a former edjuminicator, would agree, Now for my FAVORITE spot quiz: NAME the major Japonese aircraft carriers in the 'Battle of Midway Island.' |
