I think I remember both orange B and orange Q as depicted on maps in the 90s even though it was Q all day and B weekends (and F late nights). I don't know what the entrance signage at the actual stations said though. |

In this video, they quickly show Queensbridge station and the M is visible on the entrance sign. They really should have an F displayed too. Maybe make it smaller which communicates it isn't the primary line serving that station. I'm guessing there is signage downstairs, along the platform, that explains the service. |

If I recall correctly, the V was planned as a local so that the G, now terminating at Court Square, could have access to local QBL service. Now G riders have a transfer to E/F to QP for the R. Increased E/F service should take care of that, and I'm guessing the demand wasn't as high. |

I think he meant that the V was local so that G passengers could transfer directly to it. Now G passengers who need QB local service need to transfer twice. |

On one level this can be interpreted as the final convenience removed for G riders -- 24 years delayed -- but as was stated before things have changed since 2001 when this debate was at its height and the G riders now have the 7 train at Court Square which they didn't back then. |

If there ever is a 2010 service cut situation again. I can make an argument for the G to return to Continental. Send the G to Continental all times. Keep the M as it is. Have the N and R both go to Ditmars. Yard access for the R will not be a problem if it is basically part of the N when it comes to sharing equipment etc. You can also get rid of some merges. |

Maybe then the MTA should find the money necessary to extend the G/M/R to 179th Street. It can be done where as needed any of those lines could be sent express with the (F) at Parsons if there is a backlog on the local going into 179. |
