Posted by LuchAAA on Thu Dec 18 02:14:43 2025 One of the benefits cited by NYCT is that the AM, Manhattan-bound trains arriving at Roosevelt Island won't be as crowded (sometimes they were at full capacity).Now that the M serves Roosevelt Island, arriving AM Manhattan-bound trains won't be a full. That makes 100% sense to anyone. I guess the only argument against this is that the M is only an 8-car train so it's possible that arriving trains might not be so empty? I'm guessing the demand for the F express was so much greater, it's still a benefit to Roosevelt Island passengers. As for station signage, I think NYCT should have kept F letters/circles/bullets at the 63rd tunnel stations, but made the F smaller to communicate it's not the primary service, only night and weekends. |
