So I got to spend some time in the dispatchers office at Parkchester. Anyone have photos of the inside of that tower and what area did it cover? Im guessing it controlled the signal on Track M from Zerega (where they layed up trains to the switches shown in the Tower.

The Parkchester tower only controlled those switches in the photo and 2 others out of the view of the photo between the N/B llcl tks and the middle tk.

My question back to you then is they laid up 5 trains on Track M from Zerega to Westchester Sq pre the 1996 resignaling of the Pelham Line These were Parkchester put ins Who controlled the signal on track M right before the curve into Castle Hill? Wouldn't that had to be a home signal? If I remember correctly Same situation On Track M at Buhre Av they laid up trains there as well who controlled that Tower at Pelham Bay.. Those signals weren't automatic unless there was G.O and they were running through service on them.

I do recall that pn the Bway Line, trains that laid up from V/C went south on the middle as far ad Dyckman, yet went back north on the middle to be put in at A/C so something similar might have been the case on the Pelham line N/O Parkchester.
