It will be very hard to be anywhere in the car and not a get a cold draft in the winter outside when the doors open. These will replace 75' cars, which are quite luxurious by comparison. Staten Islanders are really going to hate then.

They should think about isolating some of the door sets, perhaps permanently. 60' cars on SI do not need 4 sets of wide doors.

IAWTP. Then I won't make the mistake I made on my last visit to NYC in 2009, when I boarded a Lefferts A, instead of the Rockaway A I needed. Fortunately, I realized my mistake before the point of no return, ended up changing at Euclid FR train leaving Howard Beach (sorry about the lighting)

No way the milliseconds they may save in boarding time make up for the reduced seating (although worth mentioning that the removed seats were “middle seats” not near a dividing bar, these seats being the least popular ones anyway (many would rather stand than sit between two people without a divider. Seems now it is 5 people instead of 6 between most doorsets.
