Yes, Dante would have been one of our great railfan photographers for this generation, as to what might have been. May Dante rest in peace for the remainder of his eternity out there in spirit. He is still sorely missed.Dante was able to capture these two museum car images, and with me inside each car. Look carefully for the one with the baseball cap on in each middle section of the picture. That's me there. R-12 #5760, Grand Central, IRT 42nd Street Shuttle; December 18, 2004. I also ask the question - what was the point of showing off M3s? I can't imagine that the non-railfan public would notice any differences from the M1s... |

Mike: I believe that Dante was dealing with cancer. He may of had previous operations. He made his last post the day before he went into the hospital. He died while in the hospital. They are others here who may know the full story. Larry, RedbirdR33 |

So it took under two years to replace the New Haven station after the old one burned down. If something of that nature happened today it would take far far longer. |

Very prayerfully.I'll bet someone called the TA and asked if they still had those 30 cars of theirs. Chances are an F bomb may have been dropped when they were told, "Sorry, but we got rid of them last year." |

By then the Standards that weren't scrapped had headlights. The TA put headlights on most of the older cars that didn't have them as a safety measure to allow track workers to more easily detect an approaching train. Only the R-22 and newer cars came with headlights from the factory. |
