According to my friends who claim to have seen it, the Queens bound platform was partially tiled so I would assume that the Manhattan bound platform was also finished even if untiled. I doubt that any tile work would have been started on the S/B platform if the N/B platform wasn’t at least competed for its entire length. |

I assume you're referring to the A7 and A8 yard leads and not the infrastructure under Pitkin Ave itself. |

There's a shopping center on Staten Island, at the corner of South Avenue and the West Shore Expressway, now home to a Burlington Coat Factory, a NYS DMV office, and a few other businesses. When it was being constructed in 1990 or so, several headless bodies and several severed heads were discovered. Most, though not all of the bodies could be matched up to heads.I understand that there were several heads for which they found no body and several bodies for which they found no head. That area had once been a wilderness, and was therefore, a useful dumping ground for organized crime. |
