No because they are not going to mess around with the jobs the workers picked
on Saturdays.

They're lying as usual.

There were 2 C line conductors with the virus and they took the whole line out of service.

Also they neglected to say 2 F conductors were stricken with it as well.

They failed to tell you how many employees, on top of the 52, have to stay home due to exposure. Professor Foye damn well knows how many. Just today, the G had 3 employees who have been exposed.

More and more train crews will be stricken because MTA has no masks to give out. The subways being an incubator for the virus and passengers getting into the face of conductors asking questions will only increase them catching the disease.

The trains run far better on Saturday/Sunday when the W, C and B don't "get in the way" of other trains. Passengers can easily track their train on subwaytime and use a bus alternative or leave earlier/later if necessary.

I suspect the M may be cut back to Myrtle this week, and if deeper cuts are needed, then "night service" patterns may be implemented on 12 minute headways during the daytime hours. For example, reliable R shuttles running Whitehall-95th every 12 minutes, with the N taking up the slack via Montague and the E via Qns Blvd local.

There was a video on TV today taken at 5:30 in the morning showing a car with about 25 standees. People certainly weren’t six feet apart.

The bottom line is if management does not find additional PPE for the train crews soon, there won't be enough crews to run 20 minute headway at 8 AM on a weekday.

At 5:30 in the morning the weekday schedule vs. a Saturday schedule is the same.

Perhaps the conductor position will need to move to the far rear of 8 or 10 car trains, similar to how certain G trains run. The conductor can then be at the very back of the train and will not interact with passengers under any circumstances.

I assume the bus drivers wearing the masks are bringing them themselves? Most bus drivers I see are wearing masks, with all windows on the bus open.

If You see a bus operator, train operator or conductor with a mask on, it is their own. It is very difficult to buy one now.

The conductor position can't be changed. The board is there, which he must point to. At curved stations there are cameras where he can see the entire platform. If the conductor would work in the last car of a 600' train, he can't see the platform as well vs. working in the middle and having 300' to his left and right. The conductor works in the last car of a 4 car G because that is the only other car, besides the first, with door operating controls.

If the MTA doesn't have masks for employees, then employees need to take steps to protect themselves.
The Brooklyn Boro President just gave Flatbush Depot a bunch of masks and gloves.
How is that possible?

You have a Army of Employees, no real safety measures, other than self reliance and common sense...yet transit expects a pack of Newports to carry the day!

According to "mta.info" the C is running.

However both services subject to delay due to crew availability with A trains running local where needed.
