The diner was made NOT made from an old trolley car.The PCC trolley was added as an attraction and an ice cream place.

Chuck, I believe there was a diner there way back in the 60s. Am I dreaming? Not the only example either. There is still AFAIK a small counter service place at Shaker Square where the two lines diverge. A couple of good burgers there over the decades.

I'm not sure, I'd have to do some research on that. Where is Shaker Square?

Shaker Square is where the two branches of the Shaker Heights Rapid Transit (now known as the Blue and Green lines of the Greater Cleveland RTA) come together. The diner is adjacent the platform for trains inbound to Cleveland.

As toGermantown, my memory is a diner at the very enmd of the #23 at the turnaround. I lived near G'town & Chelten in 1965 so explored the 23 some.

Shaker Square, Cleveland, OK. Nobody remembers a diner at the #23 loop. All I see is Cafe's , along Germantown Ave., across from the loop. My friend who worked the 23 trolley around 1984, says he went into a bar type place to get a cheesesteak, on his breaks. Maybe it was Tavern on the Hill

I would not have afforded that tavern back in 65. Iwas more of the H&H or Linton's patron. Altogether likely that what I think I remember is long gone.

Same here, I did not frequent taverns myself, I remember and loved H & H and Linton's.
There was a place my dad and I went to after my mom passed away, on Germantown Ave.,East of Chelten, you slid your tray along metal bars and ordered your food to your liking. There were many choices.

Speaking of sliding your tray along metal bars, this place was favorite of mine when I visited San Francisco, Lefty O’Doul’s - CLOSED
333 Geary St, San Francisco, CA 94102

Too bad it's closed. They had great turkey, roast beef , ham, and veggies, salads and desserts, and it was haven for beer lovers.
