As in, society as a whole is providing a private train to celebrate one dead criminal, while failing to provide basic amenities to typical non-murdering train passengers, so society ought to take a moment to rethink the culture it's practicing. The minutia of how this came about (private train provided by Union Pacific, Union Pacific relationship with Bush crime family, regular trains provided by Amtrak) are irrelevant to that comparison. |

Two countries in ruins with over a million dead hardly counts as typical human faults. But bad mouthing a dead president has no place by me. What about chancellors? Are they covered, or just presidents? Nothing in there was "cruel."When a bunch of crazy people went off on unhinged rants because I failed to worship a dead ruler, I responded in kind— polite to those who managed to retain their manners, but less so to people who didn't (or had a history; if you acted like a jackass in a previous thread, you don't get to start over with first impressions). But at no point did I say anything that could possibly construed as cruel to someone who hadn't already done worse. |
