Wasn't the Franklin Ave line disconnected from the Fulton Street El in 1920?

Agree with all the previous posts!
These photos are just plain good....very good....ok, great!
Thank you for posting and sharing these.

Questions,
3rd photo: gate cars operated on the Fulton st. el in addition to the C-Types? I'd thought that after some point, the pre-war (read entire) Fulton line was exclusively C-Types.
If trains of gate cars were intermixed with C-types, were some type of extenders installed the gate cars' platforms to fill the gap since hadn't the platforms been cut back for the wider C-s?
And if so, was this group of gate cars kept separately (for Fulton service) from the rest of the fleet?

5th photo: by 1949, I thought gate cars were only used on the southern div. subway lines as shuttles (i.e. Kings Hwy.-CI)_to ease the steel car shortage).
So the gate car culver locals had terminals 9th ave. - C.I. All times or rush hours only? Assume gate car culver local operation was begun after 5th ave. el termination?
How long did this route, serviced by el cars last.
Thank you.
Express Rider

There weren’t enough C types to provide full service on the Fulton St el so gate cars had to be used to make full service. As for the gap, gate cars on Myrtle and Lex operating on parts of their lines that they shared with steel subway cars had the same problem. With the gate cars, however, the C/Rs were right there to assist passengers who might have difficulty with the gaps. As for gate cars lasting a long time, they operated on Myrtle until 1958 when the Qs were transferred there.

In the first photo, does the Culver just come to a dead end under the Fulton El? It's hard to see what's going on there

And yes, I was at a couple of those mid 60s Murry the K shows at the Fox, and still have one of those LPs somewhere

I’m not evn sure if they lasted that long, since just before the IND takeover, a few C type units excessed from the now severely truncated Fulton St el were sent there

Service on Fulton St ended when the BMT subway was extended to Prospect Park in 1920. The connection was cut when the Franklin Ave station was reconfigured in 1924. Can anyone read that front sign on that Franklin el car?

The Culver and 5 Av continued on to Myrtle where it connected to the Myrtle el to go to Sands St or Park Row.
