That's reminiscent of what you see in Europe (or at least Paris, Warsaw, and Kraków to name a few places I remember seeing them) - full screens that give you estimate countdowns to the train's arrival at various upcoming stops and such. It's basically the next step up from the FIND. Hopefully if such screens become standard on MTA, the FIND of today can just be incorporated instead of making people look at two different places. |

The LCD tech must have gotten cheap enough to be adopted by the MTA on the R-211. I wonder if the next generation of buses will have similar exterior LCD destination signs. |
