They are coming to 59th/60th - Lexington Av and 34th St/Herald Sq as well.A few weeks back I saw them installing one of the screens at 59th/Lex (at the 3rd Av end) and yesterday I saw the screen (covered in black plastic) at 34th/Herald Square on the uptown platform at the south end. They won't be using the digital PACIS units that are on A division station but rather the screens used at Coney Island-Stillwell platforms. |

If I recall (and please correct me) those 3 stations are the selected stations that will be used "as the station of the future" in the same topic regarding the new trains of the future when the Govenor made the speech at the Transit Museum earlier this month. |

Those will be very, very useful.Only thing better would be getting them at Times Square. Less important would be Canal St (to decide whether to try for an uptown N instead of R), and Whitehall St (take the R or 1?). |

There is little anyone can do to change the basic structure of any station without a major redesign..gutting it out to the,bare bones..And even then,that wont change the overall "structure". |
