I thought the R-39 order would have been for cars for both the Myrtle and 3rd Ave. lines.

They are used on both lines since both F and R lines' cars are serviced by Jamaica Yard. There are also R160s on both as well as on the E which is 100 per cent R160 (at least I have not seen anything else in a long time).

I think the structure that still remains south of Broadway is not the original but is the "New" Dual Contracts structure from 1915.
