Just because it wasn't called a "subway" doesn't make it not a subway. London has subways but local terminology refers to them as the "Underground" but they are still subways generically unless you want to get technical about the sub surface lines which are really open cuts with scattered tunnel portions. The tube lines are definitely subway construction, however. By the way, the same goes for the PATH. Even though it is jurisdictionally a railroad, the underground portions are still generically a subway! |

No, you call it the subway all the time, you just don't want to admit you made a mistake.Couple of blocks? Try about 6 miles. Or about 40% of the line's length, not the 5% you insist it is. |

Ok, let's try some details for you:The whole Metro line is about 15 Miles About 6 miles of that (*40 percent of 15 is 6) is underground including 8 of 14 Stations (*That's a majority of the stations) on the line: Johns Hopkins Hospital Shot Tower Charles Center Lexington Market State Center Upton Penn-North Mondawmin North of there, it does indeed go above ground. If this line is not a subway, then I guess neither is the 7 train, or J train in NYC, right? |
