As of the July 2014 ERA newsletter, it has been noted there are at least now 100 R-62As on the 6.And I managed to snag a few of 'em..... Castle Hill Avenue.....    Morrison-Soundview Avenue..... Double your Sixes, Double your Sixty Twos!!!  Grimy 6 Logo.....  Not so grimy 6 Logo.....  And the finale of the 62s at Whitlock Avenue..... Da' Local.....  Da' Express.....  And spanning the Bronx River and Bronx River Avenue and Westchester Avenue.....  So for all you 62-lovers of Subchat, especially those who dig the 6 having its R-62As back.....hope you foamed away!!! :-) Thanks for viewing!! :-) |

Whenever it is finally determined that the said home base yard is where that equipment will, more or less, permanently be based. The amount of time that takes, with the shifts of equipment as of late, I could never tell you that. It seems on a monthly basis equipment goes from line to line, yard to yard. |

In a perfect world, the MTA/CDOT plan was for NY State equiptment (blue side stripe) & CDOT equiptment (red side stripe) to be in dedicated train sets. Also, the Center door shoreliner cars & the first generation Bomb cars (end doors only) were also to be dedicated train sets.Rarely, it worked out that way. But so be it. The customer wants a reliable train with working a/c or heat & a non nauseating bathroom that gets me to work...& back home. They could care less about the side coloring. |
