Poll - Who should win the R211 contract? |
|
|
Posted by Pink Jazz on Thu Jun 7 18:24:20 2012 Now that Bombardier has won the R179 contract, who do you think should win the R211 contract? Here is a partial list of manufacturers: •Bombardier Transportation •Kawasaki •Alstom •Siemens •Nippon Sharyo •Kinki Sharyo •Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF) •AnsaldoBreda •Škoda Transportation While I'm quite happy that Bombardier won the R179 contract, I personally would like to see Siemens win the R211 contract, although it is higly unlikely due to them not having manufacturing facilites in New York. One manufacturer that DOES have manufacturing facilities in New York would be CAF, and it would be interesting if they built cars for the NYC Subway. Still, I'd expect it to be Kawasaki, Bombardier, or Alstom. |
