You really believe that the chief obstacle to expanded commuter service is Amtrak? Instead of forcing yourself to consider the implications of urban planning and hidden subsidies and entrenched political interests and consumer preferences you can just blame Amtrak. I gotta try this myself. Hmmm, how are we going to deal with climate change...oh! It's a myth! Problems solved. Hm, how can we solve poverty, hmm. Oh! Taxes and welfare make people poor! That's two down, I'm on a roll here.It would be so satisfying to watch your head explode in a world where all your little simple solutions are implemented, yet somehow fail to solve life's complex problems. |
