The solution to bad government policy isn't no government policy is GOOD government policy. Every form of transportation has required SOME form of government policy. From William Penn grid street layout of Philadelphia to the land grant railroads of the 19th century, to the good roads movement of the 1920's to the interstate highway system of the 1950's all transportation has been dependent on government policy.I'm pretty satisfied with government transportation policy. It's delivered good value for money, it just needs to change since the marginal benefit from new highway projects has declined from what it was back in the day. |
