That's an interesting "early spec". I wonder if it is really implemented that way. I wonder if fail-over testing will be done?

There was also a lot about interoperability in that same document. :=)

In the general CBTC vs. track circuit argument, this is certainly a design tool that should limit the zone controller impact (MTBF). Is it being used on the Canarsie Line? Only Siemens knows.
