WHAT "propulsion system tachometer"The R143 uses closed loop control for the 3-phase AC motors. The closed loop control varies phase and frequency to obtain the desired acceleration characteristics. One of the inputs to the closed loop controller is a tachometer input. Most such controllers also include an isolation amplifier so that the tachometer pulse train can be fed into other circuits or they use a PLL to convert the pulse train to an analog voltage. |
