This one came from the PRR, but as you say that is not their color either. But it does come close to the colors of the B&O which *did* serve Washington, and *could* have been the source of this car.In any event it the LION ran the secret service in those days, he would NOT want the president traipsing about in a BLUE car which would stand out like a sore thumb on almost any railroad that hauled it. Nope, that is not for the LION, the LION would have used a Pullman green car. Period. Indeed while the LION likes all of the different colors of subway cars that he has on his layout, always buying the cheapest ones available, he would prefer that all of the cars look exactly alike, and for the same reason: the eye cannot follow all of them because they all look the same. When you have silver trains mixed in with red trains, with green trains, and with tuscan trains, the eye can follow one particular train. That would not do, except as I say, money trumps color every time. And besides, I am happy to have the different paint schemes represented.
