My impression is that the farebox recovery rate is low on NJT's light rail system because the fare is set lowIIRC, from some readings that I'm too lazy to link to right now, the implication was that HBLR's farebox recovery is highly dependent on ridership, and the planners forecast roughly 50% farebox recovery at roughly 50,000 daily riders. Current ridership is at roughly 40,000 daily riders... |
