I'll have to explore this in depth later (time for bed), but the last place I lived in Brooklyn was 1 1/2 blocks east of Ebbets Field (when I lived there, the park was gone and the apartment houses were up). So I click on the map, and of course the current views had the apartments, then go to 1924 and a baseball field appeared by magic :) Thing is, most of the houses on that block (Sullivan Pl) were there in 1924! (I think they were built some time in the teens). |
