Actually, that's not quite true. Right-wingers believe that the government and its officials should be more powerful and less accountable, so revealing said political persuasion in this case serves to emphasize the point— "Even I think that went too far!"It's the difference between "I think he's innocent" and "as the chief prosecutor, I think he's innocent." |
