And what were headways like at each stop?I know from experience that, at local stops south of 96, if headways grow beyond the scheduled 3 minutes in the AM rush, the C/R has to fight to get the doors closed at each stop. North of 96 I think crowding is similar (a bit less at each stop, but more consecutive stops without an escape valve). Short-turning could be done, but I don't think running express south of 137 would be manageable without a major increase in total service through the area. |
