The North London Railway provided routes to The City for those companies without their own City terminus, but these were rather circuitous.Very true. Also I cannot imagine why anyone would ever have wanted to go from Broad Street to Poplar, which was even more circuitous. But according to Subterranea Britannica a Mr. Henry Hart had a season ticket on that route in 1867! |
