There was also a great sandwich shop on the corner: Kossof’s. They would make meal-in-a-sandwich-sized sandwiches on half a loaf of French bread. I think the bakery was somewhere on Petticoat Lane.I used to walk from Goodmans Fields a couple of times a week in the summer to get lunch there. |
