If the proposed M/V combination is in operation, there would be a lot of activity at the Essex Street station, merging and separating M/V trains to and from J/Z trains, that to add a rush hour only M-train from southern Brooklyn (Bay Parkway) terminating there. The station has only 3-tracks, and the middle track is used by current J/Z and M-trains headed across the bridge into Brooklyn and Queens.I would suggest that a rush hour only peak direction only to/from southern Brooklyn Bay Parkway M-train, terminate at either Eastern Parkway or Metropolitan Avenue. Kind of like the old rush hours only QB-train. For example, these M-trains could leave Bay Parkway in the am-rush hours headed toward Eastern Parkway, and then layup in the yard. During the evening rush hours, these same trains head toward Bay Parkway, and layup in the Coney Island yard. Neat simple. Just my idea. Mike |
