The time has come!! 9:50 AM.....departure time for the last of the NJT Meadowlands Trains, #3141!! All brake tests completed, and with a good word from the MNR Road Foreman,, #3141 sets sail from New Haven!! Heeeeeeeeeeeeeere we go!!! #7046 on the west end.

No sooner than a "Proceed Cab" signal indicates we are OK to go, in comes action from off the road in the form of some "Tomato Cans"......

(Again, of note this is one of the more recent MLV Cab Car arrivals at NJT!! Still full of "New Car" smell, undeniably clean both in the passenger compartments and the cab!! Immmmmmmmmmmmpressive!! We'll see how long that lasts!!)

Entering CP 261 westward, Devon Tower, Waterbury Branch diverges off to the right!!.....

Phase Break indicator east of CP 257 (the position-light signal looking thing!!) Though barely visible, the lights are on, which forms a full ring, indicating that the power phase break is deenergized, and the controller must be placed in "coast" for M-series and Amtrak electric engines, the NJT equipment have track-born apparatus between the guage of the rails (notice between the rail guages of all 4 tracks just past the catenary tower)which automatically knocks off the power to the ALP engine in an effect similar to placing the controller in coast, the power kicks back in once in the clear of the phase break, and if the lights are off, no action is needed by the engineer.....

A westward view of the soon to be Fairfield Transportation Center Station (or Black Rock for the Black Rock Turnpike, or Fairfield Metro.....name still to be determined!!).....

After picking up some Fairfielders, we are off, and as we leave Fairfield, "Tomato Cans" arrive.....

As we roar on west (kinda like LION!! :-D) from Southport, we end this part at this point, and shall pick it up from Westport, and onward from there!! Thanks for joining in this part again!! Stay tuned, as our adventure continues!! Of course, I hope you all are enjoying thus far!! :-)
