From a previous message, "The (4),(E),(F),(JFK) at that time had CAP subway cars" and "Times Square Shuttle had CAP R17's"

I do try to follow along in the discussions, but sometimes the abbreviations get to me. What are CAP subway cars?

One day, I will figure out what is a SMEE?

Also, the N-train to Whitehall Street took over the route of the old EE train, and depending upon the time of day, and the direction, the N-train was either local or express in Manhattan. I guess as an effort to recreate the experience of the usual Brooklyn N-train riders, or the experience of the riders that used to use the EE-train.

Just me.
Mike
