Are we speaking of something in the tunnel, or the sealed-up portals (outdoors) that one can see to the south as a D or M train travels between 36th St and 9th Avenue?Those portals look like they were never open- of course they could have been sealed so long ago that the concrete matches.. From this discussion, I'm drawing that the West End Line wasn't originally planned to be on top of the Culver at 9th Avenue- no? |
