Yes, and I am a diesel line resident so I know the plight. However, with ESA, the need for HP Ave will be much less. Unless you are lucky enough to work right around Grand Central, today, most HP Ave riders take the train to HP Ave, then take the 7 to GC, and then transfer to the Lexington Line. With ESA, they transfer at Jamaica, for the train to GC, and then get the Lexington Ave line there. There's no additional train, and it's the same number of transfers, except they don't have to cram on the 7 train in between. |
