These are not new trains. These are trains NJT wanted to cut, but Metro North wanted to retain. As a result, the three trains are no longer stopping in NJ. The MTA now pays 100% of the operating costs for said trains. It's not a service increase. It's a service retention. It's actually a service CUT for NJ.
