The only problem is that since NJT refuses to staff the trains properly, and you cannot see into those cars, they feel "safer" if the PEI works. In case of a fight, medical emergency, etcSo is the PEI going in on all Comets that remain in service as well? It'd only serve to use it in the instance of assault or illness if there are police and/or medics on the train. it also has been used by people standing by the quarter point doors at low level platforms because the PA was too low and muffled, or they weren't paying attention to the announcements and they were about to miss their stop So much for the younger generation learning from the elder. With the Arrows, listening for the trainman's announcement where he says "end doors out" was a given. |
