Don't forget, the entire IRT is now under the Line Manager program, where they have absolute control and can do experimental things like this and see how it works out.Of course, sane people will say that the trains will be dead empty entering Manhattan. BUT, for people taking the Bee-Line down from Westchester County, this will make their commutes faster, AND it'll make a few trains emptier entering Manhattan, which could help with some of the crowding at 125 Street and 86 Street. |
