You must have visited on a Monday or Tuesday. Sometimes the action can be wholly CSX, sometimes wholly NS, a smixxin' of both, or sometimes the Lehigh can be deathly quiet with massive lulls.The Port Reading Secondary is a relief valve into Oak Island, Kearny, E-Port (Elizabeth) and the Port Of Newark whenever the Lehigh gets backed up, but since the double track went into service last year, massive backups have eased, but traffic has increased. Also, late in the evening, look for a CP Rail trains 266/265 (last known symbol numbers, though I hear they might have been changed to 565/566) which also visits Oak Island Yard from Binghamton |
