I used the Flushing Line in 1962 and 63 to go to Queens Cllege and it ran 9 cars. As more R-29s and 33s were delivered, some R17s were transferred to the Flushing Line, the consists were increased to 10 cars and in late 1963 with the arrival of the R-33 singles and R-36s the consiste were increased to 11 cars for the World's Fair and after the fair ended in 1965, 11 cars remained the norm peak and midday service with weekend service provided by 8 car trains and for a while, 4 car trains on the midnight. |
