Part of that was also that while Lo-Vs were still on the Lex Exp, 10 car IRT trains were operated with 2 C/Rs. Once the Lex Av platforms were lengthened and the 2nd carmen were removed from mainline trains, Flushing trains were able to be extended to 10 and eventually 11 cars with only one C/R. |
