Indeed - I think that's the biggest point, except that the branch really has to be totally electrified, to Port Jefferson. That would eliminate the yard problem and take care of Stony Brook simultaneously.I think one of their thoughts on the yard further west was the idea that Huntington service really needs a yard. Deadheading cars from Hillside to Huntington is almost absurd. |
